"We'll have eight bedrooms, please."

One visit to a Legacy model and the Shaws were hooked.  "We fell in love with the design, called the realtor and got the ball rolling," explains Kris.

The Shaw's building challenge was eight bedrooms and four baths for their family of eight.  "We had a fantastic building experience with Darrell Olson.  There were challenges to accommodate all the bedrooms.  We were first-time builders and he gave us a book with everything spelled out and all the phone numbers to call with questions for the sub-contractors or him.  We couldn't be happier."

We'd like to share our experience in building a Legacy home. The experience far exceeded our expectations in every way. Let's start with the builder. Among the most significant and challenging of life changes is the decision to move into a new home. Selection of a builder can be the most difficult part of the process with so many to choose from and so much information available. Darrell Olson and his Legacy Homes organization stood out from others we considered on several levels. The quality in both materials and building practices unique to Legacy are the standard rather than the upgrades for most other builders. Together with Darrell, the real estate team of Dan and Cindy Erickson provided information and support throughout the process of building our new home and selling our existing home. Our daily interaction with the site supervisor, John Sandberg and his subcontractors gave us the confidence that they cared and offered input and ideas along the way. When it came to making selections for the home, Cindy Erickson made herself available by attending the frequent meetings with suppliers and subcontractors. Cindy has a gift and an eye for interior design we found to be invaluable during the process.

Jim Holm of MidAmerica Mortgage became part of the team and provided superior hands-on service up to and through closing day which can be stressful. Our experience with the Legacy team turned into a celebration on closing day.

Now that we have moved into new home the service follow up has been consistent and timely. We love our new home more than we thought possible and we owe this all to the Legacy team. We encourage anyone considering a builder to look closely at this group. You won't be disappointed.

"Our Legacy Home is a 'dream come true.' The functionality, features and use of space has made our home extremely efficient for our busy lives. Darrell and his friendly, professional staff made a potentially stressful event an exciting, organized and pleasant experience. Dan Erickson, a skilled Remax Realtor, was priceless in the acquisition and the sale of our previous home. John, the foreman for Legacy Homes, was a terrific resource and "held our hand" through the majority of the building process. Scott was instrumental in the "lived in" phase. He was there to handle any issues that occurred after we moved in, from small settling cracks to cabinet doors not closing properly and his attention to detail was outstanding. Prior to building with Legacy Homes we had heard many "horror" stories from friends about the building process and after move-in issues. Therefore, we were very careful on choosing our builder. We are honored to have worked with Darrell, Dan and the team at Legacy Homes."

"In the spring of 2005 we went through a model home built by Legacy Homes, Inc. At that time we had been retired for several years and were interested in building a home. We had definite ideas of things that we wanted included in our new home and found that Legacy Homes was a custom builder. They were wonderful to work with and they did all they could to accomplish what we desired in a new home. If we had an idea, they were right there to make it happen. We found Legacy Homes to be conscious of our budget limits, the building steps were completed when they were promised, and most of all they were so honest to deal with. We cannot say enough about our wonderful building experience with Legacy Homes and would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends or even to build with them again."
